About 3rd Eye Dyes

Hi Everyone! My name is Dana Blomquist and I am the creator behind 3rd Eye Dyes! Your new favorite psychedelic/sacred geometry themed tie dye artist….

Previous to this chapter in my life I served our country in the Active Army for a little over 17.5 years. My service had left me with some “gifts” for me to deal with on my own. Over time, I learned that there are alternate methods to healing, such as therapy through creation of art.

In June of 2024 I decided to play with the art of tie dye  for the first time in my life, at this time I wasn’t challenging myself. Fast forward to just about a year later I took a different approach, the technical side of tie dye. This is where the switch flipped, I found my niche.

In October of 2025 my art was now at the level where I wanted to share with the rest of the world, the birth of 3rd Eye Dyes.

Every Item that you see in front of you is a creation of mine, by my hands. I am a small batched artist who is able to create one of a kind tie dyed apparel and art. 

Each item you see will have its own characteristics that make it distinct from the others. Think of it as the artist's brushstrokes. No two will ever be exactly the same. 

In my psychedelic themed art you will notice that I play on the psychological phenomenon Pareidolia, which is perceiving familiar shapes, patterns, or meaningful images such as faces or animals. So keep your eyes opened to the fine details, you’ll be surprised at what might be staring back at you.

On the other spectrum of my art is inspired by sacred geometry, where Pareidolia still may apply, but this is where you will get lost in the repetitive patterns of mandalas or into the softness of splitting colors that give the watercolor type look. 

So now please allow me to alter your perception of what tie dye Is…..
